I started fishing for Crappie on Weiss
Lake as a child, now some 30 years later I am doing what
I always wanted to do...I'm a Fishing Guide! After being
approached for quite a while by several marina owners I
started DJ's Guide Service in February 2005. We are a
professional guide service that specializes in Crappie
Fishing and we work
hard to provide deep water habitat for great crappie
fishing action all year long. Crappie fishing has always
been a passion for me and now I have the chance to share
this with everyone that I fish with. Whether you are a
novice or a seasoned pro, young or old, I truly look
forward to spending a wonderful day on the water with
you and your family...Catching those Crappie!! |
| My clients spend the day out on
the water in a 18 foot Ranger 374 bass boat with a
Mercury 175 motor. The boat is equiped with electronics
from Lowrance and Garmin, and we fish with top quality
equipment like Shakesphere Rods and Shimano Reels. We
provide all bait and tackle for our customers but you
can bring your own if wish. Our boat is set up for any
method of fishing we need to do from trolling in the
Spring to bumping bottom in the Fall. We can fish up to
3 clients comfortably. |

DJ's Guide Service is located on the beautiful waters of
Weiss Lake in Northeast Alabama. Weiss Lake is a 30,200+
acre hydro-electric impoundment of the Coosa, Chattooga,
and Little Rivers offering 447 miles of shoreline with
shallow flats, underwater drop-offs, deep channels and
large coves. This lake is renowned for producing 2 - 3
lbs slab crappie. This lake has been known as the
"Crappie Capital of the World" and it still today has
the slabs to prove it. We have been fishing for crappie
on this lake for over 30 years, so if you want a guide
